We welcome full-time Early Learning Centre Cook to join Australia’s first multi-generational precinct at our Early Learning Centre located in Mordialloc to prepare and cook daily meals (morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea) for children aged six weeks to 6 years.

TLC Early Learning provides 119 places for children aged six weeks to six years delivering an innovative program where the children and aged care residents will enrich each other’s lives.

What you’ll be doing

• Collaborate on nutritious, varied and culturally appropriate menu plans to meet dietary guidelines
• Present food in an appealing age-appropriate manner
• Maintain accurate records related to food safety, meal planning and dietary restrictions
• Communicate effectively with parents to ensure children’s dietary and nutritional needs are met
• Monitor and manage food inventory
• Maintain high standards of hygiene and food safety

Hours of work

• Monday to Friday
• 0800h – 1600h

About you

• Experienced in bulk meal preparation, online ordering, stock management and budget control
• Ability to cater for individual requirements including allergies and specific dietary needs
• Knowledge and passion for principles of multi-generational care model
• Understanding of dietary guidelines and food safety and handling practices
• Strong attention to detail and a keen eye for cleanliness
• Excellent communication skills

• Certificate III in Commercial Cooking or Early Education and Childcare (desirable) 
• Food Safety Supervisor Certificate
